A New Copy of Simeon’s (Svetoslav’s) Izbornik (To the Attribution of Two Fragments in the Collection of Parchment Fragments in the Central Scientific Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences)

Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the attribution and dating of two parchment sheets of East Slavonic origin, found in a collection of fragments in the Central Scientific Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences in Vilnius, F.19, Nos 19/2 and 19/3. Although the text of the manuscript is erased and on the sheets only partially have been retained the cinnabar headings, it is possible to determine that the manuscript, dated to the late 14th or early 15th c., contained Simeon’s (Svetoslav’s) Izbornik, the fragment corresponding to Ch. 30– 34 of the second part of the copy of 1073. This, therefore, is the second or third oldest East Slavonic copy of the monument. The peculiarities of the numeration of the chapters in the fragment have analogues in the Ukrainian–Belorussian copies of the manuscript of the 16th–17th с.
