Lustration: Abuse of Religious Terms in Political Speech

Summary/Abstract: In this text, the authors express key arguments against lustration. They see lustration as an abuse of religious terms in political speech and find it, from the standpoint of a well-organised legal system, inadmissible and untenable. When speaking of the legal and political nature of lustration, they have challenged, from the standpoint of original political liberalism and rule of law, the legal and political arguments in favour of lustration. The authors particularly underline the insuperable difficulties and possible abuse the Lustration Act would encounter in Serbia.
