Summary/Abstract: This paper brings a standardisation of the instruction in mathematics for the second grade of general program secondary school. The standards have been classified into three levels: satisfactory, medium and high standard. The satisfactory standard constitutes the lowest level of students’ achievements. It is a level which is sufficient for the continuation of further schooling. This level should be achieved almost by all students, that is, at least by 90% of them. The medium standard shows the level that allows students a successful continuation of schooling. This level should be achieved by 75% of students. The high standard can be achieved only by a small number of students, about 10% of them. The students having achieved this level can very successfully continue studying mathematics.
