Summary/Abstract: The path of Albanian alphabet which brought to the Congress of Manastir was long, centennial, and difficult. On the call of the Club “Bashkimi” from Manastir for the Congress, among other things was ascertained: “Issues of ABC should be primary, because without it we can’t achieve our high aims for the prosperity of language!” this was first general cultural congress of Albanian intelligence and nationalists. However, the Congress took a temporal decision to keep in use two system “Istanbul alphabet and along it another simple Latin alphabet”. The Congress decided after two years to call another congress, again titled “l i n g u i s t i c”, regarding the orthography and final decision for unified national alphabet, requirement which was not fulfilled by the Congress of Manastir, called for this historical need of the nation. After the Congress, especially in the field of written Albanian would be created a mess. Adorers of the “Frashërian Alphabet” in Toskëri and adorers of “Bashkimi Alphabet” in Gegëri increased their activities in favor of “their” alphabets. This opened a path to Jon Turk governmental circles, supported by anti-Albanian propaganda of Serbians, to increase the propaganda about Arabic alphabet for Albanian language. For this purpose Jon Turk Government brought into play the call for the “Ottoman Constitutional Congress of Dibra” on 10 /23 July 1909, in which were invited also Serbian, Bulgarian, Vllahian, and ottoman clubs. However, according to Vienna consul in Manastir, after great attempts of Riza Beu from Shkodra and of Nexhib bej Draga and lots of other patriots, the Ottoman Constitutional Congress turned into “Albanian National Congress”. As a result of this victory of Albanian Political Cultural Movement, will follow “Cultural Educational Congress” of Elbasan (2-10 September 1909), which will cement historic foundations of Albanian school and of the future of Albanian culture. Decisions of the Congress of Elbasan had a strong support of Albanian National Movement in Kosovo’s Vilajet. By time Albanian National Educational Movement and the Albanian Alphabet in Kosovo took new powerful proportions. The burden of organizing of Albanian efforts would carry Hasan bej Prishtina, Nexhib bej Draga, Salih Gjuka, Bedri bej Pejani, Rrok Berisha, Bajram bej Curri, Rexhep bej Mitrovica, Shyqyri bej Ramadan Begu and other Renaissances, and in a short time Albanian schools were opened in Pejë, Prizren, Gjakovë, Gjilan, Mitrovicë, Vushtrri and elsewhere. Same, Kosovo Albanian intellectual employed in Istanbul would pay attention to the efforts regarding Albanian schools and language in Kosovo. By the end of 1909, the activity of “Klubit Arsimor Shqiptar/Albanian Educational Club” Of Kosovo Vilajet, which was nominally lead by Bajram bej Curri, spanned all over Albanian territories of the Vilajet, opened new Albanian schools and put learning of Albanian language in the Gymnasium and High school (Normale) of Shkupi.
