Summary/Abstract: Áron Márton, former bishop of Transylvania, has begun his sacerdotal career in the Gyergyó region. He was a priest in Gyergyószentmiklós between 1925 and 1928. We have just a few sources from this period, therefore it is difficult to realize a complete portrait. His organizing skills turned out already at this time; he founded the local Kolping Society, supported the theatre group and attended the Sacred Heart devotion. He was a religion teacher in the Fogarasy Institute for Girls’ Education. Allegedly there was a pupil who foretold Áron Márton would become a bishop.
