Summary/Abstract: It has been observed that more companies comprehend the meaning and legitimacy of undertaking the steps towards philanthropic activities. That kind of business activity may constitute for them an essential element within the wider CSR strategy and moreover it can be perceived as a great tool of fulfilling social duties. The article presents not only the essence of corporate philanthropy, possible ways of its accomplishment, but also the reasons of companies’ involvement in charity. The other thing that article deals with is the description of the advantages that might be gained by companies, employees, NGOs and social environment as they attempt to implement charity. Last but not least there are some doubts described which might occur and are connected with business’ devotion in charity in general.
