Summary/Abstract: The content of this paper was presented at a recent symposium in Sarajevo dealing with the relationship between philosophy, science and religion. Professor Lačević considers their inter-relationship from the perspective of Whitehead’s philosophical thought, with its particular overtones of a critical approach to the sources of modern science and its practical implications in modern cultural and intellectual history.
