DEMOCRACY IN THE LABOUR SECTOR: INSTITUTIONAL INSFFICIENCY FOR LEADING SOCIAL DIALOGUE IN MACEDONIA

Summary/Abstract: The long and severe transition in Macedonia has resulted in increased economic and social problems in country. This very specific transition in this country lead to complete marginalization of economic problems. According to the author, evident is the insufficiency of mature and effective institutions that will able to define and implement the interests of the lager social groups in the society. In this article, the author analyses the democracy in the labor sector, enlisting a number of causes and consequences, but also modalities to overcome the institutional insufficiency for starting social dialogue in Macedonia.
