Summary/Abstract: The psychology of sport is interesting not only to professional athletes, but to anyone with an interest in psychological functioning, especially in the psychology of outstanding achievements. Sport shooting requires good physical and psychological condition together with intense concentration and technical skill. Individual differ-ences on the basis of age, gender, motor abilities, and assessment of one’s own suc-cess play a role in determining one’s performance. Based on our results, we can conclude that there are no significant statistical differences between shooters and non-athletes in the levels of anxiety and aggression or in the femininity and masculinity dimension. It is also necessary to take into ac-count the length of training, successfulness, and the shooters’ assessment of their own success when considering the levels of anxiety and aggression.
