Summary/Abstract: The article treats one uncanonical piece of work of the poet Ossip Mandelstam - 'Egyptian stamp' and deals with the possible relations and intertextual references to other texts of the Russian literature from the 20s and 30s of 20' century. It is argued that 'Egyptian stamp' is a work which generally relies on connotations and built like a mosaic of quotations. It might have provoked G. Ivanov's work 'The destruction of the atom'.
