Application of the item information function to improve the analysis of questionnaires used in companies

Summary/Abstract: This article presents a very important problem from the point of view of social research. The author focuses on the analysis of polytomous questions. He presents part of the theory of IRT models: Item Information Function, Item Category Information, Category Response Functions and (for Polytomous Item Response Theory) different approaches to this problem. The paper shows any kind of relationships on the graphs and pays special attention to the interpretation of these graphs and the results.
