Summary/Abstract: "In the last few decades linguistic scholarship has been taking special interest in the role of social factors in the evolution of discourse which has resulted in large-scale research into the interconnection between language, culture and society. Such a correlation manifests itself at best by means of social differentiation of language through a number of parameters, such as education, profession, race, class, age and the gender of the speakers. The latter, although functionally significant, is not yet sufficiently studied....."
