Summary/Abstract: Marija Barkauskaitė is a famous Lithuanian scientist, habilitated doctor of social sciences, the professor of LEU Educology Department. The field of M. Barkauskaitė scientific interests is wide: education of personality in different types of educational institutions, teenage and communication problems, teachers’ preparation, creating and accomplishing strategy and policy of Lithuanian educational system, youth organizations’ activity, etc. She publicized the data of her scientific researches in many articles, monographs and student books. On the occasion of anniversaries in this competent educator’s personal life and work it would be reasonable to discuss the dissemination of her pedagogical ideas in the works of Lithuanian educologists. That is why M. Barkauskaitė’s educational ideas formulated on the basis of empirical and theoretical researches have been chosen as the object of the research. The research is aimed at revealing the dissemination of M. Barkauskaitė’s ideas of education science in recent years’ publications of Lithuanian educologists. While researching the dissemination of M. Barkauskaitė scientific ideas, it has been found out that authors use them purposefully: substantiating practical or scientific urgency of a problem; choosing ideas for theoretical views of their researches, revealing theoretical basis of a phenomenon being researched. The authors choose ideas from different scientific interests’ spheres articles, monographs and other publications. The professor has been researching the problem of communication for more than thirty years. Many professor’s conceptual propositions about teenagers’ groups, their relationship have been used by Lithuanian universities’ doctorates in their dissertations: the power of education in a microenvironment is expressed by communication, when a person feels one’s value, understands, compares, evaluates oneself and others; a group is a certain amount of people, which are involved into common coordinated activity and which act consciously or unconsciously in order to achieve a common goal. When a group achieves a goal, each of the participants starts feeling one’s value and satisfaction; teenagers can easily make influence on their friends, involve them into common activity; gaining and developing social competences help a teenager to achieve competences in other spheres easier. In doctorates dissertations and smaller publications concerning factors that determine criminal behavior of teenagers, M. Barkauskaitė’s research results on the role of communication in the process of socialization is emphasized, i.e. teenagers give a priority to those of the same age and their groups, with whom they feel the best, are respected and feel safe...
