Transnational Corporations in the Face of semi-global environment challenges

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the transnational corporations’ response to the dynamic changes of their activities determinants rooted in the global economy. The author proposes the theses that corporations’ powerful position is achieved thanks to their understanding of the need for the prompt adaptation to the global environment. The paper is divided into three parts. In the first one some remarks on environment influence on enterprises’ development is presented. In the second part the author tries to point the relevance of the transnational corporations’ evolution to stages of the global economy development. In the last part fundamental prerequisites of the orchestration model as an adaptation for contemporary challenges, i.e. activity in the semi-global environment strategy, are discussed.
