Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to address the following research question: what are the main difficulties encountered by firms engaged into the creation and development of innovations relied on Corporate Social Responsibility to create value and avoid transactional costs? First, it is suggested that CSR acts as a catalyst to knowledge-sharing, trust-building and establishing ideas and rules between multiple exchange actors using organizational competencies and resources to fit them to the needs of stakeholders. Second, the fact is highlighted that Socially Responsible Innovations (SRI) lead to the development of different social and economic rules that influence uncertainty and limit rationality to minimize transactional costs and increase transactional value.
