Summary/Abstract: Busko-Zdrój is a small town district with a population of around 18.000. The town is also a well-known and valued health resort in Poland. It is geographically based in the Polish uplands belt, in the area of Garb Pińczowski (Pinczowski Hump), which is a subregion for Niecka Nidziańska (Nidzianska Basin). From the administrative point of view, this town is situated in the southern part of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in the region commonly called Ponidzie. This paper is based on the anonymous questionnaire research, carried out among 300 town citizens. The respondents rated the described town in respect of the tourist attractiveness. The results of this research show that the tourist attractiveness of Busko-Zdrój is perceived mostly in terms of health resort features of the town. At the same time varied and extraordinary environmental values of the area are not properly perceived and are used unprofessionally.
