Summary/Abstract: This article briefly comments on The Lord’s Prayer: a short history of the appearance and significance of the prayer, remarks on the translation of the verse “and forgive us our trespasses” into some Romance languages, a short linguistic comment, in fact a general discussion on the prayer. The article is mainly based on the remarks of the writer Gianfranco Ravasi.
