Summary/Abstract: Holy Liturgy is not a personal asset which we can approach whenever and wherever we please, but it belongs to God and Holy Church, therefore any reflection and insight has to be in harmony with the Holy Tradition. Liturgy is not only history, but also the living yearning of the Church, which expresses the liturgical life today. It’s not only an anamnesis of a historical event, but also a confession of the past and present faith. Holy Liturgy is the place where we become one with God, therefore we are called to participate in the Liturgy, to partake of divine life. There were many old customs in the Church which are no longer preserved or respected as they used to be, namely: the kiss of peace, frequent Communion, choice of the vestments’ colour, priesthood at the synod service, office for the dead held on Saturday, etc.
