ЛИЧНОСТ, КОГНИТИВЕН СТИЛ И ВЗЕМАНЕ НА РЕШЕНИЕ
PERSONALITY, COGNITIVE STYLE AND DECISION-MAKING

Summary/Abstract: The literature relevant to the relationship between personality, cognitive and decision making styles is analyzed. The first part of the article represents the construct psychological type according to the theory of K. Jung, I. Myers and K. Briggs as embedding two other variables — cognitive style and decision making style. The second part covers research and theorizing on the cognitive style and interprets Kirton's theory of adaptation-innovation cognitive style. The third part investigates the concept of decision making. The term decision making style is introduced and is specified through the ideas of R. Franken. On the basis of that conceptual framework a threefold model of the interaction "psychological type — cognitive style — decision making style" is suggested.
