Summary/Abstract: It is more common nowadays for book reviews, published in the high circulation press, to contain elements of evaluation of translated text, although they are rarely based on a serious analysis, and limit themselves to pinpointing translator’s mistakes. The article comments on the translator’s model mistakes and their significance for the text, as well as the reviewers’ typical practices.
