Transcendence in Husserl’s phenomenology and in Blaga’s metaphysics

Summary/Abstract: In this paper the idea of transcendence is presented as it appears in two philoso¬phical reconstructions belonging to contemporary philosophy: Husserl’s phenomenology and Blaga’s metaphysics. The idea of transcendence has a constitutive function: for knowledge in the former, for knowledge and artistic creation in the latter; and in both, for human being. On this base, the author argues that the two philosophies open a way to the “things themselves”.
