Summary/Abstract: The manuscript of Latvian professor living in Sweden D. Dr. Haralds Biezais (1909-1995), written in the beginning of 90-s, was kindly passed to us for publishing by Mrs. Liena Neuland. In those time Mircea Eliade was a little known in Latvia, though the Latvian public was quite well acquainted with the names of R. Otto, N. Soderblom, G. Mensching whose influence upon the Lutheran theology and religious studies in 20-s and 30-s was considerable, in the same way the influenced Mircea Eliade's work.
