Summary/Abstract: Intercultural approach is a relatively recent field of study, where various humanities and social sciences participate in shaping it, which makes this area of knowledge to be multi - and interdisciplinary, highly complex and very little homogeneous. Multi - and interdisciplinary nature of intercultural approaches in education is generated by specific educational sciences which build their subject at the intersection of multiple approaches to the phenomenon of education, as well as numerous overlapping perspectives on culture and their carriers. Intercultural education has, as fundamental priorities, the shaping of human personality in the sense of understanding, acceptance and personal valuing of cultural differences, ethnic, religious or racial and at the same time, training and development of intercultural social competence, understood as the ability to interact appropriately with individuals belonging to other cultures, ethnicities, races and religions.
