Summary/Abstract: Modern communication and storage techniques have seriously affected moral and patrimonial rights falling under the copyright. Trying to keep up with the technological progress, the copyright requires some legislative adjustments. The emerging proposals have clashed with fundamental freedoms such as the freedom of expression and information. Any restriction of the exercise of such a freedom must be proportionate with the aim pursued fie, a principle fully applicable in this field as well.
