Summary/Abstract: Since the early times of first television experiments, technology has had an impact on shaping the main characteristics of the television media. Nowadays, the digital technology brings changes not only in the television news production, but also in the way the news is chosen, made, structured and distributed. Television companies are now competing not only among themselves, but also with other media companies that produce video stories for their internet portals. Even in Croatia, the media landscape has changed due to the appearance of internet portals trying to make their own “television“. At the same time, the media companies are restructuring, the newsrooms are reorganizing from being mainly television newsrooms to becoming „integrated newsrooms“. Instead of producing more quality, there are many examples that modern media mangers do not need journalists to produce media content. Somewhere on the way the debate on the content and journalism has been forgotten.
