The Relationship Between Estonian Orthodox Church in Exile and the Estonian Eparchy of Moscow Patriarchate in 1958-1966

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the present research is to answer the following questions: What kind of contacts could have been between the Estonian Orthodox Church in exile and the Estonian Eparchy in 1958.1966? Was it possible that there existed also an official relationship between the Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church (EAOC) in exile and the Estonian Eparchy during the period under research? Which was the attitude of each Church towards the other, based on the correspondence under research? The results of the research revealed that the period between 1958 and 1966 can be divided into two phases.
