Summary/Abstract: There are two languages used in Russia during the 18th century. Church Slavonic as well as Russian language. The fight between these two languages was definitely solved in favour of modern literary Russian only in the first third of the 19th century. Problems connected with coexistence of these two languages and development of their use create the content of this article.
