BBSS Gallup International on Public Opinion in Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: Gallup International's annual review „Public Opinion in Bulgaria” makes a summary of the data gathered over the last year and a half in a total of 15 national representative opinion polls. Gallup International, the largest institution in Bulgaria that studies public opinion, has presented the collected data in 219 pages and 157 diagrams. By the researchers own account the empirical data provide „sufficiently reliable and valid information”. The review gives a complete account of data with analyses and interpretations in the beginning of each chapter as well as in the conclusion. It consists of 10 chapters: „Economic status: self-evaluations and future expectations”, „Attitude towards the economic reforms”, „Trust in the state institutions”, „Trust in the trade unions”, „Trust in the media”, „The electorate and the parties”, „Electoral structures”, „Ethnic tolerance/intolerance”, „Geopolitical attitudes”, and „Extrema and consensuses”.
