Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a complex software application - Reaper - DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) type, which may constitute for those interested in the field an alternative to other professional applications like Steinberg Cubase or Cakewalk Sonar. The main feature of this application consists in its flexibility that together with accessibility and increased portability, especially with its easy to learn characteristics is recommended for didactic use; in addition, it is a useful tool for both teachers and students in the process of teaching/learning techniques for audio composing / processing.
