EU financial support for communal infrastructural investments as a tool of development policy of non-agricultural economic activity in rural areas

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a part of research outcomes on the instruments of regional, structural and cohesion policy, which affect the entrepreneurship development. First, the above mentioned policies were defined and the instruments of these policies were classified according to the recent scientific literature. The aim of this approach was to justify further research on infrastructure as an instrument supporting the development of non-agricultural economic activity in rural areas. After the verification of the infrastructure the importance for economic development, the relationships between the EU financial support for infrastructural communal investments and the development of non-agricultural economic activity were analyzed.
