Summary/Abstract: Bojana Genov sums up the ten years of the existence of Women’s Network of Croatia, the good results achieved, but she also looks at the difficulties faced. She talks about the ambivalent relations of members (groups, but also individuals) towards the Network, criticising the single-directional user-relationship, that s, the expectation that the Network be the umbrella organisation, initialising and executing all the collectively arranged pursuits. She also looks at the unclear notions of politics and political relations, especially the problem of “partnership”, which she considers is an impossible relation between NGOs and governmental institutions, seeing as it would rest on an uneven possession and division of power. However, she dedicates most of the space to the situation in Croatia and politics towards women. In so doing, as the starting point of her reflections, she takes and comments the Women’s Network of Croatia’s Report on the Position and State of Women’s Human Rights for the year 2006. Although the Report had been expanded to certain new areas that hadn’t been analysed in the previous year, she believes that it is still lacking, with too little specific data and research.
