Summary/Abstract: It is the task of the state to detect the actual position of woman, that is, the role that the majority of women in the society hold (from family, work, to the public sphere altogether), then, to direct the workings of government mechanisms to adopt and realise measures and policies which will alleviate and/or change this position, that is, equalise the position of women and men. Here, the majority of people still think that women should “carry” the family, care about children, the elderly, care for the disabled and those needing special attendance and similar. This speaks of the perception of women as some sort of free-of-charge substitute for social welfare and social infrastructure, while, of course, they still have to work paid jobs, because the household doesn’t have enough money. She generally criticises the predominant opinion which sees politics more as show business, that is, as the spot of scandals and promotion of personality, which speaks of the fact that our politics doesn’t really offer much by way of substance, so citizens aren’t used to expecting any specific content. In understanding her own position as a feminist, she says that feminism is an integral part of her identity, but that simultaneously feminism, as she understands it, is an integral part of the system of values in any decent society.
