Summary/Abstract: The identity problem – more and more studied nowadays – arises from a new perspective – rich, nuanced and profitable from several points of view – in the francophone literature. Patrick Chamoiseau illustrates in his work major concepts for deep and complex understanding of the identity phenomenon such as: identity/alterity rapport, dialogue, communication, opening, diversity, writing, intertextuality, multiculturality, etc. These concepts establish o poetry of diversity and of opening that defines the contemporary francophone literature on its whole.
