ROLE AND SKILLS OF MANAGEMENT TEAM AT THE TIME OF ECONOMICAL DOWNTURN

Summary/Abstract: Operational efficiency at the time of high competitiveness and complex business environment poses a big challenge for organisations. The crisis that started towards the end of 2008 made many companies operate in the conditions of high risk and uncertainty and managers assumed the strategy of survival repeating ineffective activities of the past. The article attempts to describe the positions (role and skills) that managers should assume at the time of change to ensure effective functioning of the whole organisation. The considerations presented in the study are of theoretical-empirical character based on management related literature and empirical studies.
