Summary/Abstract: Children make one third of the population in the world. Children’s rights have been greatly neglected in certain parts of the world, and children are generally not respected in the world. This paper provides a review of legislation concerning children’s rights, as well as international documents regulating children’s rights, signed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the review of children’s rights that are governed by different laws at the entity level. Particular emphasis is placed on the rights of children with special needs. Various laws and bylaws are governing the rights of children with special needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of education, health and social care. This is a review of the rights of children with special needs, in order to improve their well being.
