Summary/Abstract: The report aims to distinguish the academic autonomy of politically connected principles and goals, and make it clear that although the term “autonomy” to have a political context, then its use in this sense is more than unacceptable. Unacceptable are also the arguments that behind the autonomy can be a direct democracy – e.g. adoption of decisions of the academic council in support of political objectives. Universities are non-political institutions, and that is the face of their academic autonomy.
