Chances and threats of employment for carriers of hiv in students’ opinion

Summary/Abstract: A specific part of the labor supply are people who are HIV positive. Due to the nature of the risks associated with the virus and not very high level of awareness and tolerance of society for this, carriers of HIV virus have difficulty in finding or keeping a job. For this reason, the author of the article attempts to answer the question, what are the chances for carries of HIV virus on the labor market. In order to answer this question a survey was conducted among students of economics. The choice of such a group of respondents can be motivated as follows. First, students of economics are familiar with the problems of the factors determining the supply and demand on the labor market and in a quite “professional” way can comment that issue. Secondly, until they study there is a chance of formal raising their awareness of this “disease” and tolerance in relation to potential employees who have the virus.
