SPECIFIKA PRVNÍCH SLOVENSKÝCH ROCKOVÝCH TEXTŮ

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the beginnings of rock lyrics in Slovakia in 1960s, especially with the LP Zvoňte zvonky (1969) by the group Prúdy, which is used to be considered as the first Slovak rock record. The aim of the paper is present the composition of several songs and their main topics, analyse methods of writing, search relation to other Czechoslovak or foreign songs and show the specifi c function of pop music in social and political context at that time. Finally it compares this Slovak record to the work of Czech rock groups of this period, find the accordance and the diff erence between them.
