Summary/Abstract: The memory of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius finds its place in the sanctorum cycle of a number of publications of liturgical books of the 20th century which reflect on the commemoration of the Slavic enlighteners in the Catholic Church with services according to the hierarchy of the church. The publication Antiphonale Romanum, 1912, reflects in a notated mode the repertoire dedicated to their memory. The questions that are raised from the presence of a notated service for the holy brothers refers to the fact whether it could be found in the transcripts/publications of the antiphonary from earlier dated times; to which period of European history could be referred the establishment of such service and whether the repertoire which it reflects was the result of the use of already existing one or whether it is a compilation on the occasion of the presentation of the particular service. The study aims to present the initial information on the subject in an attempt to offer an answer to the above questions.
