Hidden public debt in Poland.

Summary/Abstract: This article looks at the issue of hidden government debt in Poland. The paper begins by defining hidden public debt and discussing its significance. The authors then introduce implicit obligations of the public finance sector in Poland and attempt to assess the relevant future financial burden which is not included in the official government debt data. In the next section, the volume of public debt(including implicit liabilities) is discussed. The article concludes with a brief discussion of the results of the analysis.
