Summary/Abstract: Rational use of available resources and innovativeness are the key elements of the contemporary concept of the corporate management. Both elements are essential to achieve the competitive advantage of the company at the global market. The article presents possibilities and results of the implementation of the innovative solutions in finance management and marketing management. The study is based on the results of the research conducted in 2009 at 608 Polish companies (micro, small, medium and big scale) operating in different market branches (production, services, trade). The conclusion of the study is the advantage of the implementation of the innovative solutions in the management system of the enquired companies. This in result inclines to question why so little number of companies decides to take this step.
