The Rescue Archaeological Excavation in Sibiu, Manejului Street

Summary/Abstract: The study is about the archaeological research of Manejului Street, along the northeast precinct of the medieval town. The results of the excavations consist of stratigraphical information planimetric and archaeologic material uncovered in the bases of the upstairs to the crenel. There are no traces of a wooden earth rampart in this place. The precinct wall was built down to the terrace and the hollow was filled with earth. On the edge of terrace there was a trench filled in that time with earth and ceramics. Outside the defense wall there were moors filled up in the 18th century.
