Summary/Abstract: Counterfeiting is known to all companies, only the volume and the consequences are different. More the respect for social values and laws of the country are highlighted, the lower is the level of counterfeiting. In this context, it is notable to mention that the criminological analysis of counterfeiting is performed based on both factors that influence human personality and the grounds of developing and transformation of this crime into a national and global anti-social phenomenon. Counterfeiting has grown massively in the last 30 years, shaping from an isolated crime into a process managed by the international criminal organizations; from an activity that provides some local needs in a scourge able to undermine economic principles; from counterfeiting inaccessible luxury goods to counterfeiting enormous quantities of full range of products; from a misdemeanor to a complex phenomenon. Given that 7% of world trade is already affected by an increasing counterfeiting syndrome, with no any existent tool that would redress the current situation, there is an urgent need to approve new strategies for combating phenomenon under concern.
