Summary/Abstract: Infringement of intellectual property rights in the online environment is often extremely complex and complicated, especially from a technological point of view. Therefore, the society's reaction to those infringements is to be swift and effective. Combating counterfeiting and piracy in the online environment must first involve a complex analysis by the authorities of the factors that favor these phenomena, and then implement concrete actions. We believe that, as a matter of priority, the legal framework in the field needs to be adjusted. Even if there are some legal instruments that can be used against infringements of intellectual property rights in the online environment, the Republic of Moldova needs to regulate new legal measures, which would facilitate the enforcement of rights in the current technological development.
