The strengthening of the capacities of the institutions to guarantee the observance of the intellectual property rights in the Republic of Moldova

Summary/Abstract: The enforcement of intellectual property rights cannot be achieved by the existence of a legislative basis alone. The success of a national system is determined by the establishment and efficiency of public institutions with responsibilities in the field. Currently, the authorities involved in the national system of IPR enforcement are different, both in terms of their functions and responsibilities, and in terms of their functional capabilities. Therefore, it becomes imperative to ensure a compatible level of development of all institutions, given that the functioning deficiencies of one authority negatively affect the work of other public institutions and the system as a whole.
