Summary/Abstract: From a stylistic point of view, this article focuses on the comparison of German and Swedish writings. Different linguistic phenomena, such as for example the length of the sentence or the vocabulary (composed words, nominalizations) are studied in authentic German administrative texts, written within the European Commission, and their respective translations into Swedish. Also, the article deals with stylistics in general and points out the position of this discipline between literature and linguistics.
