THE PROTOCOL TABLE, A MEDIATOR TOOL OF DIPLOMATIC DIALOGUE

Summary/Abstract: Diplomacy, in its broad sense, means the art of establishing interaction between states and or international organizations so that well-determined goals may be reached. Diplomacy means, par excellence, a field in which personal contact has a crucial importance, both from the point of view of the protocol that is applied for welcoming the guests of the different states or entities and from the perspective of exploring the intentions of the dialogue partners or their reactions in different situations. The notion of “protocol table”, a diplomacy tool, developed along with the development of diplomacy and has not lost its meaning, in time becoming more and more refined. Currently, an event with diplomatic dimensions cannot be conceived without paying special attention to organizing the protocol table and all its subsequent issues.
