Summary/Abstract: This paper intends to categorize and explain the toponyms in the geographical area of the Somesul Mare river between Becelan and Dej, according the denomination of the object they represent. It categorizes the toponyms in five different categories according to the type of land / geographical relief represented: settlements, roads, forests etc.
