Summary/Abstract: Identity is a very complex concept because it belongs to various disciplines and fields of research. Discovering the other, one builds its own identity by means of collective memory images and cultural heritage. Reassessing both the nature and the value of everyday life and customs of her people, Martha Bibesco reconstructs, through self-images, introspective reflections, a deep philosophy and the translations of cultural bound terms the sound of her identity.
