Processes as an element of organisational potential in the improvement of the quality management system

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to present the meaning of processes and managing them in the improvement of the quality management system and in the development of an organization. A connection between the improvement of processes and the improvement of the system of quality management was indicated. The processes were introduced as an element of an organizational potential which is not entirely exploited. Basing on the literature and the results of author’s own studies, the problems encountered while improving the processes in practice were presented. Recommendations for future actions were put forward to enable the organization to take full advantage of the opportunities lying in the improvement of processes.
